Wildlife Bunglow Kumana

PROJECT DESCRIPTION & CONCEPT

The concept was to create less impact to the site, to have a lesser footprint and to create less noise while constructing the building. The Building is a linear transparent structure, elevated above the flood plains which is adjoining the site. The building has two access points, one from the ground and other from the rock. The unit has two enclosed rooms with attached toilets and the large hall for a dormitory type accommodation.

All the service lines and ducts are built-in to the structure and the whole building is assemble at site. Timber screens and timber flooring is sourced from naturally felled trees of the site.
