PROJECT DESCRIPTION & CONCEPT
Located at the end of the Prima Flour Mills on a plot of land with 270 degree view of the China Bay. The land already accommodates a two storey building and a dining facility built in the 1970’s. The site has an abundance of trees which is to be maintained as much as possible when making way for the new project
.The first accommodation floor of the building is raised above the garden by 20 feet to make way for the existing and new trees as a ‘Walk-in Garden’ so that the sweeping views are maintained. design is based on practical concerns of paring and accommodating 40 units of single and two bedroom apartments.
We also urged client to use flat roofs above the building to accommodate a herb garden, solar power generation and a walking track. All rooms have natural ventilation and all bedrooms and living rooms have views towards the city.
