PROJECT DESCRIPTION & CONCEPT

DEVELOPMENT VISION

To develop and launch an iconic 5 star tropical beach resort on the East Coast of Sri Lanka by the end of 2017. Encapsulating the true essence of Sri Lankan hospitality, offering memorable guest experiences with a diverse range of products and services, for both families and couples alike. It is envisioned that the resort will become a destination within a destination and spearhead the development of both Kathiraveli and the East Coast as a luxury tourist location.

DEVELOPMENT MISSION

Throughout the development of the resort, it will be our mission to ensure the resort is well planned and in keeping with the natural environment of the lush landscaping and the beauty of the Indian Ocean. It is critical that the resort development brings together these various elements, in the creation of a truly unique 5 star resort.

STRATEGIC POSITIONING WITH-IN SRI LANKA

The resort will be the first 5 star premium beach resort, attracting the luxury traveller to the East Coast of Sri Lanka, Kathiraveli, which will also be operated by a leading international hospitality chain.The resort will be set with-in 33 acres of un-spoilt greenery and with a stunning beach frontage of more than 450 kilometers, offering a superior selection of exquisitely appointed guest suites and villas, with a wide range of culinary options and a host of land and sea activities.

The resort is easily accessible, with direct road access along the Trincomalee Highway and is well positioned between the key cities of Trincomalee and Batticaloa, which are 60 kilometers and 70 kilometers away, respectively.  In addition, seaplane and other modes of transfer will be offered to guests to ensure their arrival to the resort is part of the experience.

The property will also be the first resort on the East Coast of Sri Lanka which will be built and successfully obtain the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) gold classification.
