PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Baurs is a multinational Swiss family owned company. We were invited by A. Baur & Company to design their flagshop showroom and offices at their current premises at Kelaniya, Sri Lanka.
The company works at grass root level with mostly Sri Lankan farmers. They also run the Swissair offices in Sri Lanka.
The design encompassed a large floor height area for the showroom for farmer’s products, utensils and fertilizers. The materials were carefully selected and detailed to give an ‘Earthy’ tone to the interior. The facade also allowed for plants and wines to grow.
Swiss Air offices were reached through a separate lift stair core but all spaces looked down to the showroom and created a wholesome space for the company.
